Naked 3 First Impression + Swatches

Friday, December 20, 2013

Hi ladies!!

So i caved….. I have been seeing this palette all over twitter, instagram, and youtube for the past couple of weeks & i had to have it. Honestly, when i first saw the pictures (before the palette came out) i was not impressed. I didn't think the colors were anything special and it just wasn't appealing to me.

After seeing a few positive reviews on YouTube, i decided to pick it up. Plus, i had so many  subscribers asking for my thoughts on it. I asked you guys on twitter if you wanted to see a first impression or a review after I've used this palette a few times. A lot of you said a first impression- but i couldn't wait to do a video on it- I had to test it out right away!

Right away i can tell you the one color I'm not happy with- which probably won't be a surprise if you have seen reviews on this palette. "Trick" is the one color that looks absolutely stunning in this palette. It just stands out. Now when i tested out this color at Ulta, it was very pigmented. So I'm not sure what the deal is with that. Maybe you just have to break it in a few times to get the color payoff? But as you can see from the photo below, it doesn't have ANY color payoff. It took me a good few swipes to get a little bit of the color to show up.

Now that we have the negative out of the way- I absolutely LOVE the other colors. Keep in mind, i have only swatched them, i have not applied them to my eyes. (I'll have a full in depth review on my YouTube channel once i figure out what my final thoughts are) -- As you can see from the swatches, the rest are very pigmented! My favorites are the matte shades because… well.. I'm a sucker for any matte shade. lol The other colors are absolutely stunning though.

So from my first impression so far, i really do love it! Ill be doing a tutorial with this palette this week, so just stay tuned for that! Did any of you purchase this palette? What are your thoughts?

I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend & Happy Holidays!

Xo,
Casey

Holiday Home Decor

Sunday, December 15, 2013

Hi my loves!!! I hope you all are having a great holiday season so far. Im currently listening to Ariana Grande's christmas songs… so I'm doing pretty well! lol Today i will be sharing a few christmas items that i have in my living room / kitchen area. I hope you enjoy!

I think the most exciting part about having your own place (other than the obvious fact that you have your OWN place) is that you get to decorate it how you want! I love christmas and all the decorations that come out this time of year. Its just so much fun!

Even though i love decorating how i want, i wanted to incorporate old traditions and things i used to do at home with my mom. (Hints the cards in the tree)- I don't know exactly what made her want to start doing this, but i kinda loved it lol So of course, we are doing that in my house!

I knew that for the top of my christmas tree, i HAD to have an angel. I found this beautiful angel at hobby lobby & I'm pretty much obsessed with her. Not to mention, hobby lobby had amazing deals on their christmas decorations. Actually, i think they always have some kind of great deal going on. Its definitely one of my favorite stores to shop at.

This has to be my favorite decoration on the christmas tree. If you know me, you know i am obsessed with my little pup. She is basically my child. This was such an easy ornament to make. It came as a kit from Wal-Mart for about $5-$6 (snowflake sticker not included). This is her first christmas and i wanted something meaningful like this to put on the tree. I can't wait to keep doing these as the years go on.

She did not want to be a model today. This was about as good as i could get haha

So for the table in the living room, i definitely wanted the little red thing to go across the table. (I can't remember what they're called for the life of me! But you where I'm going with this haha) - The centerpiece is something that i made. I have a whole video on it which i will link right below this paragraph. The 2 little trees are from hobby lobby as well. I was so in love with them that i bought both of the ones shown in the photo, and i also bought the bigger one which is in my beauty room! Ill have a post about my beauty room christmas decor very soon.

The Faith, Peace, & Joy stand is also from hobby lobby. I absolutely adore it- but full warning you- the glitter gets EVERYWHERE. But in my opinion, its totally worth it. The vase with the ornaments in it is something i threw together. This vase was from flowers that i received for my birthday, and i knew once the flowers were done, i wanted to do a DIY with it! I love how it turned out. I used some extra tinsel i had at the bottom- Added an assortment of big and small ornaments, then topped it off with a big glittery bow.

I have a couple different christmas collars for daisy, but this one has to be my favorite. I love it because she looks like a present! She kinda loves it too…. i think. Collar was purchased at Petsmart.

Onto the pillows- i LOVE the pops of color. I have to admit, the apartment is decorated pretty bland (minus my beauty room)- So having a pop of color makes me happy. These pillow are from hobby lobby as well!

This little guys sits at my front door with candy by his side… who doesn't love candy right?? He is super cute & was very affordable! Got him at Wal-mart

There are no stockings for the adults, but when i saw this puppy one, i knew i had to have it for daisy! I can't wait to stuff this with cute toys that i got from petsmart! Stocking is from hobby lobby as well as the holder.

For the top of the bar, I saw this at hobby lobby and fell in love. I think it is so gorgeous.  I think it is a great daily reminder of what christmas is all about.

Candle holder from Bath and Body works

Again… who doesn't love candy?? Bowl from hobby lobby.

Don't mind the purse in the background lol This sign is also from hobby lobby. Are we surprised?? lol If you want to see more things that i purchased while christmas shopping, ill put my haul video down below!

I hope you all are having a great december so far. It will be over before we know it, so enjoy it while you can!

Stay tuned for more posts from me. More fashion is definitely on the way.

Love you guys & Merry Christmas!

xo,
Casey

Thanksgiving Hair, Makeup, & Outfit Idea

Hi loves! So i just posted a new video on my channel about a complete look that you can go to for thanksgiving this year. Personally, when i think of thanksgiving, i think of being relaxed & stuffing my face. I want to look nice but nothing that is too overdone. Ill get more glam for Christmas! lol

I never go into kohl's so i haven't been able to see the Lauren Conrad collection in person. I decided to go the other day, and i have to say, i was so impressed! I didn't plan on getting anything from her, but i ended up getting two pairs of booties (one is included in this post) and the shirt that i am wearing! Im the type of girl who likes more of an edgy look- but its good to change it up sometimes. I will attach the video at the end of this post. Hope you all enjoy and have a great week xo

Sigma Beauty Meet & Greet

Tuesday, November 12, 2013

Hi ladies!!! I was invited by Sigma Beauty to go to Minnesota and do my very first meet & greet at their store in Mall of America! I have met some of my subscribers before at an event called Beauty Con out in LA- but I've never had my own meet & greet. Let me tell you-- it was an AMAZING experience. First, I have to tell you guys how amazing Sigma is. I had the pleasure of going to dinner with them the night before my meet and greet, and i had such a great time. Its awesome to be able to meet these girls face to face after talking to some via email for over a year now! This company has grown so much & they deserve it. If you have not checked them out- you need to. They have affordable makeup brushes that will make your makeup application 10xs easier. Thats a promise! I might do a detailed blog post on my favorite brushes soon (if you would like to see it!)

Sigma, if you are reading, thank you SO much for giving me the opportunity to go to MN. I am so thankful and i really could go on forever saying "thank you!" I am so happy i was able to meet such an awesome team.

Now for my subscribers - i cannot say thank you enough to you all as well. I appreciate you guys so SO much. You have no idea. Everything that i am able to do is because of you! Seriously, i don't care how sappy this may seem to some people--but I could cry just thinking about how happy you guys make me. Your sweet comments & messages are everything. And meeting you guys in person is amazing because i can actually hug you & thank you in person. I love you guys so much & like i said, i can't thank you enough!

Now lets get on to some pictures.. shall we? :) (Some photos are from my personal camera & some are from the Sigma Beauty Facebook page!)

I was obsessed with these little bed things hanging from the ceiling! lol so fun

I fell in LOVE with the view in this next picture. Every time I'm on a plane, i am reminded of how beautiful the world is. Its just breathtaking.
